Graduate Aanganwadi workers protest against irregularities in seniority list in Kupwara
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp
Kupwara: Scores of Graduate Aanganwadi workers stage in Friday strong protest demonstration against irregularities in the seniority list framed by ICDS department in Kupwara.
Dozens of workers who are graduate qualifications urged upon authorities to interpret and implement SRO 16 of 2004 in the light of judgement passed  High court in the case of Kounser Jabeen v/ state which states that in terms of SRO 16 the graduate Aanganwadi workers and matriculate Aanganwadi workers constitute  two different feeding categories  for the promotion as Supervisors.
The protesting candidates alleged that  the matriculate Aanganwadi workers who have attained graduation qualification during service should figure in the seniority list of Graduate Aanganwadi workers only from the date of obtaining degree of graduation and their seniority is to be reckoned as graduate Aanganwadi workers only from the date of obtaining degree as the rule of engagement it self having created two classes of Aanganwadi workers viz graduates and matriculate Aanganwadi workers.
They further allege that some vested interest officials wants to adjust some blue eye candidates so the seniority list was framed in violation to standing rules and norms besides High Judgment in favour of Graduate workers are  being thrown to wind.
