SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 4: A delegation of BJP Kisan Morcha led by its National Secretary Sukhminder Singh Grewal, Incharge, J&K BJP Kisan Morcha, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The delegation apprised Governor about various issues relating to the farming community in J&K and projected demands like provision of good roads, sewerage system, health care, schools etc in the rural areas, compensation for  crops damaged due to adverse weather conditions and frequent cross borderfiring in the border areas of the State.

The delegation also urged Governor to provide adequate compensation to farmers whose lands have been acquired for Ring Road projects in Jammu and Srinagar.

Governor assured due consideration of all issues raised by the delegation and urged them to continue to work for welfare of the farming community.
