Advisor Vyas discusses issues of Kashmir University, Reasi town

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER4: Advisor to Governor BB Vyas today convened a meeting with senior officers of Kashmir University to discuss various issues related to implementation of Central Pay Commission (CPC) in favor of Kashmir University.

The meeting was attended by Director Budget, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Director RUSA, Registrar Kashmir University, and other senior officers.

During the meeting, the Advisor directed officers that the university should come up with a proposal to the finance department, which would help to meet financial requirement of releasing of Ist installment of salary arrears, pensioner arrears and revised monthly salary of Kashmir university employees.

The advisor was told that Kashmir University requires additional funds of Rs 67.90 crore on account of implementation of 7th Central Pay commission revision

The Advisor also directed Mission Director Rashtriya Uchchitra Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) to come up with a detailed report in consultation with the university so that a special dispensation can be worked out and the pending infra projects if any of university can also be covered.

The advisor later chaired a high-level meeting through video conferencing related to the development of Reasi town.

The meeting was attended by financial commissioner housing, principal secretary finance, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, secretary tourism, secretary floriculture, director floriculture, Deputy Commissioner Reasi and other senior officers.

The advisor overtook detailed review of the developmental projects of the district and historic town and directed for speeding of ongoing projects.
