Secy inspects Tourism projects in Chenab Valley

BHADERWAH, SEPREMBER 29: Secretary Tourism, Rigzin Samphel today reviewed the functioning of Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA) and inspected developmental works here at prominent tourist destinations.

The Secretary is on 2 day tour of Chenab Valley region.

He interacted with officers and officials of BDA and asked them to carry out tourism promotional activities as well as developmental works with zeal.

He appreciated the works as well as maintenance of tourist destinations by the Bhadarwah Development Authority.

Earlier, he carried out detailed inspection of   development works like Tourist Facilitation Centre at Sarna under PMDP- 1, conservation work of Bhadarwah Fort, Water Sports Centre at Pul Doda, Lake View Resort Gatha, etc.

Chief Executive Officer Bhaderwah Development Authority apprised him about various activities being carried out for tourism promotion in the area.

The Secretary was also apprised that various adventure activities viz a viz seven day Adventure course carried out in the month of March 2018 and other chain of activities led to record influx of over 5 lakh tourists  to Chenab Valley from April 2018 to till date  0.

Secretary Tourism was accompanied by Dr R K Khajuria CEO BDA, Tarseem Kumar Xen BDA,   Saleem Shiekh AEE,  Sajid Nisar Khan Publicity  Manager and Ayaz Ahmed Junior Engineer BDA.
