It was a day of festivity and fervor among students and teachers alike as all stood to appreciate one another on the annual day of the school which was celebrated on 27th of September by Boys High School Katipora that witnessed a huge gathering of parents of wards besides famous dignitaries of various administrative departments. The dignitaries including Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tangmarg, Sub Divisional Police Officer Tangmarg, Zonal President of Teacher’s Forum Tangmarg, ZEPO Tangmarg, Professor Mr. Syed Muzzafar Ahmad Shah, Principal HSS Khaipora, Headmaster High School Hardy Madam, Zonal Cultural Coordinator Tangmarg besides other civil society members and distinguished personalities of the area graced the occasion.
The best part was the skits, speeches and other cultural programmes that were showcased by the students. Not only were these segments well researched and well choreographed but also entertaining and beautiful that left the guests spellbound. Students raised various environmental and social issues in a mild way and depicted various subject in a beautiful manner.
Students of the institute presented numerous programmes depicting the culture and custom of the state. Students also presented speeches and skits which were thoroughly entertaining and informative and were appreciated by all the guests and audiences. SDM Tangmarg, in the end, gave an enthusiastic speech to encourage the students and paid special thanks to the Headmaster of the institute for inviting him on the occasion. Speeches were given by others guests as well which enriched the programme with diverse thoughts being shared with the students.
In the end a prize distribution ceremony was held in which the students were rewarded and appreciate for their performance during the calendar year in various events. Awards were also presented to previous year 10th class toppers and those who showed noteworthy performances in sports, cultural Programmes, Debates, Discussions, Essay Writings etc.
The headmaster, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Malik, thanked all the dignitaries for sparing their time and encouraging students to aspire for greater goals in life.
