Srinagar September 26, 2018: All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a press release condemned the arrest of Hurriyat Chief Spokesman, Gh. Ahmad Gulzar.

Terming his arrest as an act of sheer vengeance, Hurriyat expressed anguish on the rampant use of police force, which curbs the civil liberty of the detained persons without any legal trail and justification.

The Hurriyat Conference regretted that freedom of expression is a distant dream in Jammu and Kashmir under the prevailing situation where people get killed, maimed and incarcerated on one pretext or the other.

“Under well thought plans administration is creating a scare and appalling situation in nook and corner of the stat and harassing people to ensure their participation in upcoming so-called elections,” said Hurriyat in the statement.
