DEO Bandipora reviews Election Arrangements

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary who is also District Election Officer (DEO) today reviewed the arrangements put in place by the district administration for the smooth conduct of upcoming Municipal Elections in the district.

The DEO convened a meeting of all nodal officers for the municipal elections to reviews the preparedness on various fronts in order to make election process a success.

The Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Qasim, Assistant Commissioner Revenue- Hameeda Akhtar, Deputy Election Officer – Mohammad Rafiq Lone and nodal officers designated for various activities were present in the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues like manpower, randomization, training of poll staff, SVEEP, communication plan, media certificate and monitoring cell, transport plan, material arrangement, expenditure monitoring, EVM management, postal ballot management, establishment of helpline and complaint redressal, besides law and order issue, duty of zonal and sectoral magistrates.

DEO directed the Nodal officers and Incharge of the committees to work with zeal and zest for the smooth conduct of ensuing election. He asked officers to remain vigilant and acquaint themselves with the knowledge, rules and regulations of election commission of India, so that the process of the election could be held smoothly and freely. He directed them to work as a team for bridging the communication gap and to yield better results.
