Srinagar: On the directions of SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan, Anantnag police along with officials of Excise department destroyed bhung cultivation spread on about 130 Kanals of land in Bijbehara and Mattan areas of the district.
A police party headed by SDPO Bijbehara accompanied by SHO Bijbehara and DO Sangam, destroyed bhung spread on about 40 Kanals of land in Naina Sangam and its adjoining areas and 35 Kanals of land in Katriteng Bijbehara.
Meanwhile, a police party headed by DySP Hqrs Anantnag accompanied by SHO Mattan destroyed bhang cultivation spread on about 55 kanals of land in Satermaidan area.
