Srinagar: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today strongly condemned the killing of three police personnel in Shopian today.
In a statement the JKPCC spokesperson described the killings as highly unfortunate and shocking, saying that the killing is indicative of worsening situation in the valley.
The spokesperson expressed deep shock over the incident of killing of police personnel in South Kashmir and said the loss of precious lives has vitiated the atmosphere in the valley to a largest extent, as a result, people are living in absolute fear, besides feeling highly concerned for their safety.
Blaming Centre Govt for the spurt in violence, the spokesperson said the wrong policies adopted by BJP Govt will continue to remain the source behind worsening situation in the valley, he said.
Pradesh Congress Committee conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved families of slain cops and sympathized with them, the spokesperson said and added that killings or violence will never serve any purpose.
