BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 21: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, supervised the arrangements put in place by the district administration early morning today to ensure the smooth conduct of Muharram processions in Budgam.
Accompanied by SSP Budgam and other district officers, she took stock of all the arrangements including security, traffic management, health facilities and sanitation put in place for the smooth conduct of mourning processions.
The largest mourning procession in the district started from Jamiyeh Babul elm Mirgund and culminated at Imam Bara Budgam in which thousands of people participated.
Later, a blood donation camp organized jointly by CMO Budgam and BMO Budgam in Bihiste Zehra Park was inaugurated by DC Budgam in which a large number of people donated their blood.
