Chowdribagh-Litter road dilapidated, residents suffer

Pulwama, Sep 17: The residents of Chowdribagh-Litter in Pulwama district are facing immense hardships due to dilapidated condition of road from Litter Tehsil to Chowdribagh village.

Locals of the Chowdribagh told Kashmir Images that the road is in shambles from past two years and Roads and Building (R&B) department is taking no steps to repair it.

Javid Ahmad Mir, a local resident said, “The uneven surface and potholes are causing damages to vehicles and even public transport owners are reluctant to ply on this messy road.”

Talking to Kashmir Images Auqaf Committee Chairman Litter, Gh Hassan Wani, said, “We have raised the issue several times with concerned authorities but to no avail.”

“Whenever it rains, the potholes get filled with and thereby making it hard for the pedestrians to walk on it and during dry weather it becomes too dusty,” added Wani.

Locals here said that we demand immediate repairing of the road.

When contacted Exn Roads and Building (R&B) department, Pulwama, he didn’t respond to the repeated calls of this reporter.
