Sopore, Sep 14: Rescuers fished out the body of a minor from Jhelum river in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
Nine-year-old Rashid Reyaz of Manzseer village had drowned while taking a bath along with his friends in the river at Seer Jagir on Wednesday.
After searches by the police and the locals, the body of the minor was recovered from the river at Ladoora Rafiabad today morning.
An official said the body was handed over to legal heirs after completion of formalities.
