KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 12: Inter-Zonal District Level Competition in the sports discipline of Cricket Under-17 years of District Kupwara for the year 2018-19 got underway at Galizoo Sports Stadium, here today.
800 boys drawn from 12 Zones of Kupwara District are taking part in the competition.
The competition is being organized by the Department of Youth Services. The tournament will be played under the overall supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kupwara, Haji Gh Hassan Mir.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by DYSSO Kupwara in an impressive function
The main objective of the competition is to select the teams of Kupwara District for the Inter-District and Division Level competitions.
The winners in Cricket Under-17 Boys category will get selected for Inter-District Level Competitions.
Meanwhile, DDC Kupwara Khalid Jahangir said that district administration is committed towards promotion of sports and games.
