Sopore, Sep 11: A non-local labourer on Tuesday was found grievously injured inside his room in Sopore.

According to reports, 35-years-old painter Haroon Rashid, son of Tayab Alam, was seen lying in a pool of blood by his colleagues as his throat was found cut with some sharp-edged thing.

The labourer was living in a rented room belonging to Riyaz Ahmad Wandroo, at Hajam Mohalla Sopore.

He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment and was later shifted to Srinagar’s SHMS Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Speaking to ‘Kashmir Images’, an officer at Police Station Sopore said, “We are verifying facts about his death and a case will be registered accordingly.”
