Srinagar: Former Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Prof Dr Rita Jitendra on Monday died during a live broadcast of DD Kashir in Srinagar.
Reports said Prof Jitendra, who was a prominent writer and educationist, was speaking in a live broadcast of “Good Morning JK” programme when she suffered a cardiac arrest.
Hospital sources as SMHS hospital said that she was declared dead on arrival at the facility.
Prof Jitendra choked all of a sudden during the programme around 8:30 am while she was speaking to the anchors.
