Jammu, Sept 06: JK Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed today inaugurated Business Unit and an ATM at Lohara Kot in Sunderbani, District Rajouri in presence of Bank’s Executive President R K Chhibber, Additional DC Gurmukh Singh, prominent members of the Business Community of Sunderbani and officers from the State Administration.

The prominent citizens of Lohara Kot expressed gratitude towards JK Bank for listening to the long pending demand of the people and establishing a branch for convenience of public and ease of banking service accessibility within the area.

While interacting with the people Chairman JK Bank said, “It is our constant endeavor to provide the state of the art financial services to the last mile customer in our state and we will continue to expand our footprint across all regions achieve complete financial inclusion. The new Business Unit will not only offer major relief to the residents for facilitating banking services but shall also provide financing to the new entrepreneurs and existing businesses in the area.”

“The Bank will specially focus on the agriculture and other allied activities to give a boost to productive lending and employment opportunities in the area,” he added

While advising the officers of the Bank to walk an extra mile in enhancing the outreach of the banking services besides improving the financial literacy in the area, the Chairman advised the Lead District Manager and officers of the bank to work in close coordination with the local administration for chalking out a detailed plan for expansion of Business units and other delivery channels for offering door step services to the far flung villages of the area.

He advised to give special attention to the timely disbursement of direct benefit transfer, the old age pension & other beneficiaries of the Government sponsored schemes to ensure a seamless service experience to the public.  The representatives of the Beopar Mandal and prominent citizens requested the Chairman for opening another Business Unit in the Sunderbani area to ease the pressure on the main branch which was acceded to by the Chairman who directed the Zonal Head to prepare a feasibility report for the same to open the Business unit in a time bound manner.

On the request of the additional DC and Principal Degree College Sunderbani the Chairman agreed to construct and maintain a toilet block under the National Mission of Swach Bharat and also for the convenience of the students of the college. The Chairman requested the district administration and the educational institutions to collaborate with the Bank for improving the financial literacy levels of the general public and students.
