Pulwama: Police on Friday released the family members of both the militants who were detained on late Wednesday night.

Family members of Riyaz Naikoo, Chief operational commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen said that police released Naikoo’s father on Friday afternoon.

“On Wednesday night at 11:30pm police knocked at our door and when I let them in they took me along,” Assadullah Naikoo, father of Riyaz told Kashmir Images.

“The police didn’t harm me and I was not put inside lock up either,” he added.

Meanwhile, the family members of Lateef Tiger, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen district commander Pulwama, told Kashmir Images that police released the father and two brothers of ‘Tiger’ on Friday afternoon.

“Around 1 pm on Friday they were released by police,” said Fatima Akhter mother of Tiger adding that they have not been beaten-up by the police.
