Srinagar: In yet another incident of abduction, A group of unidentified gunmen abducted the nephew of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dysp) from his home in Thairun Trenz village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday late evening.
According to the reports, a group of masked gunmen barged inside the house of Mohammad Ashraf Shah and abducted his son Adnan Ahmad Shah.
Adnan is the nephew of Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Syed Shah. He is currently posted at PHQ  Srinagar.
Meanwhile, government forces have launched a search operation to trace the abducted youth.
Earlier, several other cases of abduction were reported from south Kashmir.
