DC distributed 38 three-wheeler Scooties among specially-abled persons

BARAMULLA, AUGUST 21: Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Naqash today distributed 38 three wheeler scooties among specially-abled persons at a camp organized by Social Welfare Department at Dak Bunglow Baramulla.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that specially-abled persons are part and parcel of our society and every effort is taken in this regard to ensure the well being of this deprived lot. He further said that the objective of providing three wheeler  scooty is to empower specially-abled persons in terms of accessibility by making them independent so that they can earn their livelihood and easily commute.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the District Social Welfare Officer Baramulla to release the monthly pension under all categories to the pensioners on this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul- Azha.

Earlier the Deputy Commissioner was welcomed by the District Social Welfare Officer Baramulla Showket Ahmad Showket. Among others Director Planning Baramulla A G Malik, District Information officer Baramulla Mudasir Hussain Choudhary and other concerned officers from the respective department were also present in the distribution camp.
