Baramulla: Three militants were killed by army along the line of control in Tangdar sector of Kupwara district in northern Kashmir when army intercepted a group of infiltrating militants, Saturday evening.
Sources said that the army foiled an infiltration bid after launching a massive search operation in the area, earlier today, after yesterday’s exchange of gunfire with Pakistani army in the area.
They said that the search operation was still on to look for more militants suspected to be hiding in the area.
Srinagar based Defence spokesperson Rajesh Kalia confirmed the killing of three militants.
