Ganderbal, Aug 15: A bear was captured in Lar area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, Wildlife authorities said.
An official said that a cage was set up after locals reported sightings of two wild bear cubs in Repora area of Lar Tehsil today morning.
He said a bear was captured alive after being tranquilized. “The bear would be released in the higher reaches of the district,” said the official.
