SSP Ganderbal holds public Darbar, seeks public cooperation, support for effective policing

Ganderbal, Aug 13: Continuing its efforts to strengthen police-public relations, Ganderbal police organized a public Darbar today at district police office Ganderbal.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal.

The Darbar was attended by people coming from various walks of life, which included many community groups and also Traders Association Ganderbal.

The interaction focused on various issues including various social evils. The participants said that collective steps need to be taken to keep a check on the social evils.

The participants also highlighted several day-to-day issues like Traffic regulation system in Ganderbal.

Addressing the participants SSP Ganderbal said that police-public cooperation is vital for ensuring a crimes free society.

SSP further said that Police will take steps to address the issues, raised by the participants, on fast track basis.

Meanwhile, SSP Poswal also spoke about the misuse of social media and appealed the participants to encourage their youth for judicious use of social media. SSP also raised awareness among the participants regarding cyber crimes.

“I will not compromise on any sort of corruption within the Police department in Ganderbal. If you will find any form of corruption please report the same to me directly, I will ensure swift action,” SSP said.

ASP Ganderbal Fayaz Hussain, DySP Ganderbal Aashiq Hussain, SHO Ganderbal among other police officers of the district were also present during the Darbar.
