Srinagar: A bullet- riddled body of a 24-year-old youth, was recovered in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Monday morning.

Reports said that the body of the youth, was found by the locals and accordingly they  informed the police.

The police recovered the body soon after which according to witnesses was lying in a pool of blood near the peripheries of an orchard at Bunpora Muran.

A police officer while confirming the incident identified the deceased as Gulzar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani Bhat of Bunpora Murran Pulwama.

After conducting all legal formalities including the postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites, he said.

Bhat, was running an eye clinic at Bijbehara.

A case under relevant sections of law has been initiated and further investigations taken, he said.
