Srinagar, Aug 10: Police in Ganderbal has arrested another person wanted for his alleged complicity in a blast at Mansbal park on June 17 this year. The accused was absconding after the blast.
Police apprehended an “absconder” Mohammad Imran Sofi, son of Abdul Majeed Sofi, resident of Kondabal Safapora Ganderbal “who was involved in case FIR no. 20/2018 related to blast at Manasbal park,” a police spokesman said.
He said 13 local visitors including some minors and students were injured.
“The investigation suggests that the accused had masterminded the blast. Besides, the accused is also a chronic stone-pelter. He is involved in instigating the youth of the area to resort to stone pelting,” spokesman said.
