Geelani again barred from offering Friday prayers

Srinagar, Aug 10: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Hurriyat-G chairman Syed Ali Geelani to its office at Rajbagh on September 05 and 06, 2018.

Sources said that the case pertains to Income Tax raids on octogenarian separatist leader’s Hyderpora residence in 2002.

Sources further said that 10,000 US dollars where recovered from Geelani’s residence during the raids.

“The notice has been issued to Geelani under various sections of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and he has been asked to attend ED office at Rajbagh, Srinagar on September 05 & 06 at 2.30 PM,” sources added.
