SRINAGAR, AUGUST 06: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today conducted a tour of Srinagar city to review the status of various development works initiated by R&B and SMC.

The Divisional Commissioner inspected the Zero bridge-IG Road drainage project besides repairment of footpaths and roads on this stretch which is executed by the R&B department under CRF scheme. He directed the executing agency to start the work on double shifts to commission the project within the deadline besides removal of bottleneck structures at the earliest for hassle-free construction works.

Div Com also visited Lal Chowk, Residency Road, and Poloview to review the macadamization works which is executed by SMC under AMRUT scheme at a cost of Rs 9.90 crores.

He directed the concerned engineers to expedite the work to ensure timely completion. He passed instructions to the engineers and contractors to accelerate the pace of work so that people are benefited at the earliest.

The Divisional Commissioner reiterated that non-seriousness and indolent attitude in work will not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against the erring employee.

He asked engineers for daily reportage to him about the progress of various developmental projects in the city to ensure accountability which also makes the employees more efficient so that they can perform their duties in a better way.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Commissioner SMC, Superintending Engineers R&B, Engineers from UEED, SMC and other concerned officers accompanied the Div Com.
