Baramulla: Two militants were killed in ongoing gunfight which broke out between militants and forces at Drusoo village in Watergam area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Soon after yesterday’s, firing on Army’s 32 RR camp at Watergam, forces have launched search operation in the area.
“Contact was established between militants and government forces in Drusoo village in Watergam area in the outskirts of Sopore town.
“Two local militants have been killed in Drusoo, Sopore encounter, search operation underway,” said an official who is part of operation.
Earlier on specific information a cordon was launched around several village to track the movement of militants.
Till this story was filed intermittent firing was going.
Meanwhile, authorities said that in view of prevailing situation in Sub division Sopore, All educational institutions shall remain closed today.
