Srinagar: One militant has been killed during an ongoing gunfight in Kilora village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday night.
An official said that army’s 44RR and SOG launched a search and cordon operation at Kiloora village following specific information about the presence of some militants.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot amid fired some warning shots, the hiding militants opened fire triggering off a gunfight.
Army spokesperson in a statement said that one militant has been killed so far and operation is underway.
