Srinagar, Aug 2: Government forces on Thursday night laid concertina wires and installed generator sets for lighting purpose in Drusoo village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district where earlier a search and cordon operation was launched.
Sources told news agency GNS additional reinforcements of army and Special Operation Group of police have been rushed to Drusoo village in Watergam area as chances of encounter between forces and militants believed to be holed up are rife.
“Two militants one from Pulwama and another from Sopore is believed to be trapped in the area”.
Earlier, army’s 32 RR and SOG have launched a cordon-and-search operation at Drusoo village following specific information about the presence of two militants inside a residential house. (GNS)
