Srinagar July 29, 2018: Reacting to the statement issued by Dr. Jitender Singh a minister of state in prime minister’s office, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G), termed the statement as a ‘sheer ignorance about the history of partition of India’.

Commenting on Singh’s assertion that the word “issue” should not be used with Kashmir, Hurriyat spokesman, in a statement, questioned: “Which country has placed Kashmir issue before the UN?” adding the presence of UN observers in Jammu and Kashmir is yet another clear proof that it is a disputed territory.
