KUPWARA, JULY 28: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today chaired a Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Potushai Lolab Kupwara to review its functioning.

Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction over the quality of education provided in JNV Kupwara and assured every cooperation to help JNV grow strength by strength as an institution by excellence.

In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the General Manager JKPCC to complete the pending construction work of buildings, boundary wall and approach road to Dining Hall.

The Chairman instructed the Executive Engineer PHE Department to provide water supply to the Vidyalaya from a local water supply until the construction of overhead tank is completed.

The Deputy Commissioner also agreed to explore the possibility of providing RO unit for purification of water to the Vidyalaya.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the continuation of academic development and fixed benchmark that more 30% of students should get more than 90% marks in the ensuing session. He also insisted that the students should be motivated to take part in extra-curricular activities for developing leadership qualities among them.

Regarding removal of dry, decayed and senile trees in the Vidyalaya, the Chairman asked DFO Kamraj and ADC Kupwara to make a visit to the Vidyalaya and submit a detailed report to him for further necessary action.
