Progress of Revenue Deptt reviewed at Bandipora

BANDIPORA, JULY 26: In order to resolve revenue related matters more efficiently in a time bound manner, meeting of the revenue officers, inducing tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris was held here today with Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Bandipora Hameeda Akhter in chair.

Various issues relating removal of encroachments on Kahcharai, State land, pattern of working, behavior with public, performance in Jambandi and Khasra-Girdawaris conduct of PGP Camps, action taken under PSGA, and RTI cases were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the ACR impressed upon the officers to gear up their field staff and ensure quick disposal of revenue matters. She asked the participants to furnish the list of details in respect of main issues, demands/requirements regarding staff strength of department, infrastructure, stationary, machinery, cooperation of other departments etc. so that a policy can be framed to resolve these issues.

The ACR directed the Tehsildars to submit report about the functioning of the department to Deputy Commissioner’s office on monthly basis. She asked the participants to work with more dedication for benefit of the society, adding that the people have many expectations from the administration.
