Independence-day arrangements finalized at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, JULY 26: Arrangements in view of the Independence Day celebration were finalized at Baramulla today during a meeting at Dak Bungalow with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash, in the chair.

SSP Baramulla, Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lilly, SDM Uri, SDM Gulmarg, SDM Pattan, SEs, CMO, CEO, Officers from Police and Army, all district and Sectoral officers were present during the Meeting

During the meeting, a thorough discussion regarding the seating arrangements, presentation of cultural programmes, Parade Presentation, Security arrangement, award Presentation, etc was held. It was given out that in the district, the main function of Independence Day Celebration will be held at District Headquarter Baramulla.

It was given out that various Cultural programmes and special variety programmes will be presented by students from various schools, besides participants from Information department and Cultural Academy. Meanwhile, committees have already been put in place to look after different types of arrangements, like seating arrangements, refreshment, etc.

Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner while impressing upon the Officers to show coordination and cooperation, stressed that the committees already formulated will re-check all the arrangements put in place. He also directed the Officers of R & B, PHE, PDD and other departments to nominate Nodal Officers for ensuring that all necessary arrangements related to the Independence Day celebration are completed efficiently. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Officers to ensure the presence of all employees during the function. The meeting was also informed that awards will be also distributed among persons with remarkable contributions in various fields.
