KUPWARA, JULY 26: A meeting of Health Department was held today in DC Office Complex Kupwara which was co-chaired by Director General Health Services (DGHS) Kashmir Dr. Saleem ur Rehman and District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir.

The meeting was attended by CMO Kupwara, Prahlad Singh, EXEN R&B Kupwara Division, all BMOs of the District and DPM NHM Kupwara.

The DG Health Services impressed upon all the officers of the health department to ensure that all indicators of Aspirational District notified by the NITI AYOG shall be improved and focus should be given to each indicator in order to achieve desired targets.

The DGHS and DDC discussed with R&B and other Construction agencies regarding status of construction of buildings of SDH Sogam, Keran, Kupwara and PHC Trehgam and Machil.

DC informed DGHS that work on repair and renovation of Health and Wellness Centres is in progress and the centres will be dedicated to the people of the district by 15th August.

DGHS directed all concerned to upload all achievements on HMIS Portal on regular basis.

The DGHSK and DDC Kupwara stressed upon the officers to start the work at the ground level and cover hilly and tough terrain areas of the district like Machil, Tangdar, Teetwal, Jumgund, Badnamal, Keran etcon priority.

The DGHSK and DDC Kupwara urged all concerned to provide quality care services and sensitise health functionaries at the grassroots about the Aspirational District Indicators, mobilise every effort in order to make Kupwara numero-uno Aspirational District.

Meanwhile, DGHSK informed the meeting that department is committed in providing better health care services to the people of Kupwara and will facilitate the district in each and every step towards affordable, accessible health care.

DGHS lauded the staff of SDH Kupwara for efforts towards transforming the hospital into round the clock facility thereby providing people from far corners of the district healthcare facilities for which they had to travel outside earlier.

Later, DGHS toured Block Kralpora, Kupwara. He visited SDH Kralpora and inspected various sections of the Hospital. DGHS expressed immense satisfaction regarding the establishment and functioning of Emergency Room and stressed for handling the patients on ideal EMS guidelines and ensuring protocol referral before transporting any patient with medical emergency. He also appreciated the efforts of health personnel in delivering health care services to the patients. Later he visited SC Shaloora and SC Aloosa.

CMO Kupwara Dr Prehlad Singh was accompanying the DGHS while BMO Kralpora Dr Mohammed Shafi apprised about the status of health care services being provided to the patients.

CMO and BMO discussed various issues with DGHS regarding Block Kralpora. He assured redressal after scrutiny as early as possible.
