Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to strengthen the police public relations, Budgam police organized a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Town Hall Magam. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Magam Shri Showkat Ahmad.

SHO Magam Firdous Ahmad, Tehsildar Magam and E.O Municipality were also present in the meeting, a police spokesman said.

Respectable citizens, trade and transport union members of the areas falling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Magam participated in the meeting. A number of issues viz menace of drugs, traffic congestion, transport services to certain areas etc were discussed during the meeting, said the spokesman.

The officers present heard the grievances of the participants patiently. The issues pertaining to police were resolved on the spot and some other issues were forwarded to the concerned departments for their early redressal.
