DDC reviews implementation of Khelo India

RAMBAN, JULY 25: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat convened a meeting of officers and reviewed the implementation of Khelo India, here today.

DDC constituted a district level committee comprising ADDC as Nodal officer and SSP, Principals of GDC Gool, Banihal and Ramban, Commandant IRP 16th Bn, Commanding officer 23RR, CMO, CEO, DYSSO, District coordinator NYK and representative of State Sports Council as members for effective implementation of Khelo India scheme.

While reviewing the functioning of Youth and Sports sector, DDC directed the concerned officer to prepare a plan for implementation of ‘Sports for Peace & Development’, a vertical scheme of Khelo India   in order to achieve the objective of the scheme.

DDC further said that Ramban has huge potential in sports arena due to abundance of talented sportspersons and the need of the hour is to channelise it in a positive direction. He impressed upon the officers to encourage the youth, especially pass out and dropout besides school going students, to participate in sports activities for their better mind and body and earn laurels for themselves and the State.

ADDC, Ravinder Sadhu, ADC, Gurvinderjeet Singh, CPO, Uttam Singh, Principal of GDC Ramban and Gool, ASP Ramban, Sanjay Parihar, AD Planning, Ganesh Kumar, CMO, CEO, DYSSO, Officers of Army, CRPF besides the other concerned were present in the meeting.
