DDC Pulwama reviews I-Day arrangements

PULWAMA, JULY 25: District Development Commissioner Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar, today convened a meeting at DC office Complex Pulwama to review the preparedness for smooth conduct of Independence Day Celebrations in the district.

It was given out that main function of the Day would be held at District Police Lines Pulwama where National Flag will be unfurled, followed by March past comprising the contingents of BSF, CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Forces, and students.

It was decided in the meeting that meritorious students from the district who have qualified NEET, IIT and JEE exams this year will be awarded certificate of appreciation and prizes.

DDC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements at the venue besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply. He also directed Health department to setup adequate number of medical camps with proper staff, ambulance and Medicare facilities at the respective venues where Independence Day will be celebrated in the district.

Dar directed the officials of Municipal Corporation to maintain cleanliness in and around District Police lines, roads, and streets in the town. He further called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral and Awantipora, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Senior civil, Army and Police officers, District Information Officer, Chief Education Officer, Sports Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, REW, besides all District and Sectoral Officers and other concerned officers, were present at the meeting.
