Srinagar, Jul 23: A minor boy died due to drowning in a stream in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The deceased was identified as Syed Hanan, a resident of Dangerpora Sopore of Baramulla district.
Hanan drowned in a stream at Puhru near Babgund while taking bath along with other local boys.
The minor boy was at his relatives’ home when the incident happened.
Witnesses said the minor’s body was retrieved later from the stream by locals, while police has registered a report into drowning incident.
