Youth run over by train in Jammu

Jammu, Jul 22: In the fourth such incident this week, a youth died after being hit by a train here, an official said today.

Roshan Lal, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was crossing the railway tracks when he was hit by the train this morning, he said.

The body of the deceased was recovered and later handed over to his family for last rites.

This was the fourth such incident in the past five days in Jammu province.

Two women, including a resident of Chhattisgarh, lost their lives after being hit by trains at separate places in Jammu on Wednesday and Thursday, while a 67-year-old mentally challenged man was crushed to death by a train in Udhampur district on Friday.
