Sunshine Budgam defeats Star Cricket Club Sumbal by 22 Runs

Chanderhama: In the ongoing 15th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy being played at SNW Memorial Ground Chanderhama, Sunshine Budgam after winning the toss elected to bat first and scored a decent total of 206 runs in allotted 20 overs.

Basharat could not complete his century as he was caught and bowled by Tawoos Khanday on 92 runs with 10 splendid sixes, while Rouf and Shabir Ali contributed 43 and 37 runs respectively. Hazim took 3 wickets, while as Tawoos took 2 wickets for Sumbal.

In reply, Sumbal started their innings beautifully and at one stage they were 130 runs in 14 overs, but at the end fell short of 22 runs. Wasim Sofi scored 51 runs while as Aijaz Farooq scored 45 runs and Altaf Raja 31 runs. Tajamul took 4 wickets for Sunshine Budgam.

Basharat was declared as Man of the match for his blistering knock off 92 runs.

Rouf Mir was awarded best moment of the match for his quick fire 43 runs off 16 balls.
