Srinagar, Jul 19: The College Teachers Association (CTA) has urged the government to prepone the summer vacation for the colleges.
CTA headed by Tariq Ashai has submitted a representation to Advisor to Governor and urged to prepone summer vacation of degree colleges.
Usually, the degree colleges as per the vacation calendar avail two months of vacations-50 days in winters and 10 days in summer from August 01 to 10 every year.
“As the school education department has announced summer vacation for schools from 19th July this year, it is requested to prepone summer vacation for colleges so that students studying in colleges can simultaneously enjoy vacations with their brothers and sisters studying in schools,” the association has requested in its representation submitted to the advisor.
Ashai said that college teachers may also be in a position to avail the vacations with their wards studying in schools if vacation for colleges is preponed.
