DDC inspects patient care at DH Kulgam

KULGAM, JULY 18: District Development Commissioner Kulgam Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani today visited District Hospital here to assess the quality of medical services, punctuality and patient care at the health institute.

ADDC Khawaja Nazir Ahmad, ACR Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah and other concerned accompanied the DDC.

On the occasion, the DDC inspected various wards of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.

The DDC went around gynecology ward, emergency ward, medical and neonatal and other wards of the hospital. He was apprised of various facilities available in the hospital and requirement of more staff in various sections.

The DDC impressed upon authorities to improve sanitation in and around the hospital and instructed to install water purifiers to provide safe drinking water facility to patients and attendants.

He also exhorted upon the concerned to ensure that roster is strictly followed and patients be served with utmost dedication and sincerity. He stressed on the cleanliness of the wards and its corridors.

Later, DDC also took stock of ongoing works at 50-bedded maternity and Child Care hospital (MCH) Kulgam. It was given out that the Rs 7.79 crore project will be completed by December 18.

He impressed upon the executing agency to ensure that quality of works is not compromised with and the set timeline is adhered to strictly.
