JAMMU, JULY 16: Director Law Enforcement Agency , A. R. Samoon convened a maiden meeting after assuming the charge of Director Law Enforcement to review the working of Law Enforcement Wing of Jammu Division .

Director Agriculture, Jammu H. K. Razdan, who is also the Controller of Fertilizers, was also present.

While speaking on the occasion, H. K. Razdan stressed on the need of coordination between all the wings of the Agriculture Department and strict enforcement of quality parameters. He also asked to resolve various constraints in the supply of high grade agriculture inputs to raise the farm production and income of the farmers.

A.R. Samoon, interacting with the officers and Enforcement Inspectors on the occasion, stressed for updation of agricultural norms for betterment of farming community. He instructed the officers to speed up the sampling work at retail and wholesale point and conduct surprise inspections of the fertilizer, pesticide and seed retailers as per targets fixed so as to ensure the supply of quality inputs.

Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), R. L. Bhagat stressed on use of Release Order Module to make timely availability of fertilizers as per requisition of respective areas. The non-usage of Point-of-Sale (POS) devices will warrant strict action from the Law Enforcement Agency of the Agriculture Department.

R.K. Bindroo, Agriculture Chemist, S. Baljeet Singh, Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Surinder Pal SMS (I/c Railhead Entry Point Jammu) B. K. Mahajan, SMS (I/c Railhead Entry Point Udhampur), R. N. Koul, SMS (HQ) and Enforcement Inspectors of all the districts of Jammu Division also attended the meeting.
