Ganderbal 16 Jul: The third district Gandebal Karate championship will kick-start from 17 July at Vijay memorial Educational institute here.
According to Sanjay Verma,tht president of Ganderbal Karate association, more thann five hundred players have enrolled for the championship.
Mujahid Yaqoob General Secretary, Ganderbal Karate association said, “The championship is going to be one of the grand sporting events in the district. Qualified referees will ref the championship. Players from various schools and clubs from every corner of district will take part in the championship.”
“Karate is gaining popularity in Kashmir especially in Ganderbal. We are doing our best to promote and develop the sports,” he added
According to organizers, DC Ganderbal will be chief guest of the event. Other guests will include SP Ganderbal Fayaz lone and joint secretary J&K Sports council.
