Interestingly, it has also come to fore that for the vital Electrocardiography (ECG) section no post has been sanctioned while the hospital administration has posted two X-Ray technicians and some internees for conducting the same.

Hospital sources said that during various medical emergencies the lives of patients are being risked. “Even critical patients have to wait for undergoing ECG or X-Ray, as it is impossible for the understaffed technicians to manage both the departments,” they said.

While talking to ‘Kashmir Images’, Director General, Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-Ur-Rehman said, “We have forwarded the request to State Service Recruitment Board (SSRB) and I am repeatedly asking them (SSRB) to send the selection list of X-Ray technicians for the Budgam district.”
