SRINAGAR, JULY 12: A special drive for the demolition of illegal structures on the Evacuee Property land at Tengpora Bypass Srinagar was carried out today on the directions of Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Custodian General, J&K.
A team of officers of Evacuee Property Department, Kashmir with the help of district administration and demolition quad of Srinagar Municipal Corporation besides police party of Batamaloo police station demolished various illegal structure on the Evacuee Land.
The illegal occupants have been warned not to raise any further construction on the land and in case of any violation, the Department shall take strict action as warranted under law against them including lodging of FIRs besides notifying the said property as Evacuee Property under Section 6 read with section 9-A of J&K State Evacuee (Administration of Property) Act, 2006.
“Such drives shall continue to be taken in future if any such illegal activity shall come into the notice of the department,” Bhat said.
