SRINAGAR, JULY 07: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired 246th High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting of Circular Road Project regarding the cash compensation to the affected people whose structures were came under the Circular Road Project.

The meeting took a comprehensive review of progress of acquisition on Safa-Kadal-Jamallata road, community centre at Safa Kadal, Widening of Ali Kadal-Rajouri Kadal via Sakalipora road, Community Centre Namchibal, Widening of Buchpora-Hazratbal road(phase-I), Haft Chinar-IG road, SMS road and Fateh-Kadal-Khan Kahi Moulla road.

During the meeting, cash compensation was approved in various cases in favour of affected families whose structures were come under the Circular Road Project.

The cash compensation was given to the families as per the field verification, submission of Aadhaar cards and other requisite formalities.

Div Com directed R&B engineers to demolish those structures immediately whose owners have received compensation.

He stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the rehabilitation process and clear the pending cases immediately so that the widening work of the city roads takes place as earliest for the benefit of commuters besides it will provide smooth traffic management in Srinagar.

District Development Commissioner Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, VC SDA, Joint Commissioner SMC, Superintending Engineer R&B, Assistant Commissioner, affected persons and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
