KATHUA, JULY 5:- Speaker Legislative Assembly, Dr. Nirmal Singh, today held a Public Durbar here at village Badoli of block Dinga Amb in Billawar constituency of Kathua during the final leg of his four-day tour.

Dr. Singh said that these camps provide a platform to connect with the people and their concerns besides help in maintaining a firsthand account of the problems being faced by them in the area.

During the camp, various delegations apprised the Speaker about their problems and developmental needs and sought redressal of their grievances.

Delegations from nearby areas flagged many issues before the Speaker with regard to macadamization of roads, increase in the supply of safe drinking water, issues regarding electricity, health facilities and many other issues of public interest.

The Speaker gave the delegations a patient hearing and assured that their genuine demands will be looked into and passed on-spot directions with regard to various grievances flagged by the locals.

Dr. Singh asked Billawar Administration to organise public outreach camp in Badoli area on 16th July to deliver various services enlisted under Public Service Guarantee Act.

He also inaugurated the macadamization of road from Lokhli to Badoli, executed at a cost of Rs. 1 Crore.

BDOs, Tehsildar, Engineers, officials from the district administration and other concerned departments besides scores of locals were also present on the occasion.
