Governor inspects facilities at Emergency Operation Centre, Gogo land

SRINAGAR, JULY 2: Governor N.N. Vohra, accompanied by B. B.Vyas, Advisor to Governor; Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Planning, Development and Monitoring Department; Baseer Khan, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, visited the Emergency Operation Centre  which has been set up at  Gogo land  in the past twenty four hours consequent to instructions given by the  Governor in connection with immediate measures to be taken to be prepared for any eventuality arising from river Jhelum crossing the flood level.

This Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) has been set up to ensure uninterrupted communications in the event of any emergency situation. Governor also inspected the Flood Relief Centre set up by the Divisional Commissioner, alongside the EOC, which has tented accommodation, toilets for men and women, stocks of rations and medicines. This Centre has been set up to meet the eventuality of accommodating flood affected population, in case eventuality arises.
