Srinagar, Jun 29: The J&K government on Friday deferred the already announced summer vacations for schools from primary to higher-secondary level.

The order for postponement of the vacations was issued by Secretary School Education Kashmir Farooq Ahmad Shah.

“In view of present climatic conditions in the state, it is hereby ordered that the summer vacations already ordered vide government order No. 742-Edu of 2018 are hereby deferred, till further orders,” reads the order.

Pertinently, the government had earlier announced summer vacation for all government educational institutions and also recognized private schools up to higher-secondary level functioning in Kashmir division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division from July 02 to July 14.
